Winter Short Mat League

Derek Beddow will be running the winter short mat league again in 2026/7.

The objective is to have a social club night to keep the membership together during the off season and make good use of the facilities while we cannot play outside.

Depending on numbers the games will be two wood triples of ten or twelve ends and played in two sessions on Wednesday evenings starting at 7.00pm and 8.00pm. Could players please arrive in good time so that the first session is ready to start at 7.00pm prompt, otherwise we may have a late finish time.

The bar will be open.

Now all names are in the game will be two wood pairs played over 12 ends.

It would be nice if all players came for and stayed the whole of the evening, rather than attending for only the time that they are actually playing. This would make a more sociable event. Also, club members who are not actually playing in the league are very welcome to come and watch and socialise.

If you enjoyed the competition last year please encourage others to take part this year.

Further information is available on the clubhouse noticeboard. - It is proposed the first league match will be on Wednesday 4th of November and also proposed we have a club night on the 28th October to familiarise players who have not played before the rules and be introduced to each other.

An individual fixtures table will be sent out to all players and they will be made aware of all results as the season progresses.
